Account Manager

Girlgaze is looking for an exceptional Account Manager to collaborate in pre-sale planning and lead post-sale execution for brand partners. This is an opportunity to work with some of the world’s biggest brands on innovative productions and campaigns with global reach. The ideal candidate for this position will be extremely detail-oriented, organized and a skilled multi-tasker with strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience in digital account management or client-facing project management required, as well as a strong passion for the mission of #Girlgaze.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for pre-sale planning and post-sale management for all brand partnerships.
  • Brainstorm with sales, business development, marketing and editorial teams to develop innovative campaigns in line with the #Girlgaze mission and brand partner objectives.
  • Work with the production team to build out budgets, and the sales and operations teams to build out media plans when necessary. 
  • Serve as primary liaison between #Girlgaze and our brand partners, on all campaign execution details large and small. 
  • Lead all coordination with clients/partners and all internal teams to successfully launch all components of partnerships.Responsible for all post-sale processes, including kick-off calls, internal execution meetings, client meetings and updates, asset delivery and approvals, etc.
  • Work closely with internal teams optimize all brand partnerships / campaigns.
  • Responsible for all campaign reporting and case studies. 
  • Maintain central repository for sales proposals, case studies and research.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience a account manager, client-facing project manager or similar digital role
  • Must be extremely detail oriented, with a demonstrated ability to juggle internal and external project stakeholders
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize work assignments, meet deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Experience in building digital media plans  
  • Fluent in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and/or Keynote

VP, Original and Branded Video

Girlgaze is looking for a seasoned VP of Original and Branded Video to oversee the ideation and execution of both original and branded video. This individual will supervise all aspects of physical production, and will be adept at leveraging both internal production resources as well as 3rd party production companies. The ideal candidate is passionate about the Girlgaze brand an what it stands for - and eager to create great video content to amplify the Girlgaze mission. Candidates must be collaborative, pro-active, detail-oriented, and comfortable with managing teams and budgets.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with Girlgaze’s CEO and editorial team to create, package, and produce our slate of original video programming.  Bring strong and on-brand creative leadership and strong tactical recommendations to all production-related conversations.
  • Assist the CEO and operations team in negotiating and securing production and distribution deals for Girlgaze video IP. Guide the deal-making process with a strong working knowledge of distribution, windowing strategy, rights, etc. Ability to negotiate with talent, production companies, and agencies is a must.
  • Oversee all production-related tasks for both original and branded content. Lead a team of production professionals, both internal and 3rd party production partners.
  • Maintain a high level of quality control across all productions to ensure consistency with the Girlgaze brand.
  • Structure and lead hiring for the company’s video team. Establish departmental best practices, and operationalize the development process.
  • Be ultimately responsible for the successful delivery of all video initiatives. Be on top of status across productions, and troubleshoot and resolve any and all production related issues and delays.
  • Oversee all production-related finance and budgeting, both estimating production costs and reconciling to actuals. Assist with pricing of branded content.
  • Work cross-functionally to resolve talent, licensing, and legal issues as they arise, and across Girlgaze partners and vendors to ensure successful completion of productions.

 
REQUIREMENTS

  • At least 8-10 years of prior hands-on studio or production experience within a digital media environment
  • Prior experience managing teams within a production environment. Prior experience producing branded content is a must.
  • Demonstrated experience budgeting productions and pricing branded content.
  • Detailed technical knowledge of production, digital video editing, and related technologies required
  • Strong inspirational leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • An innate commitment to high production standards and perfection in the details of each production
  • A self-starter who is passionate about Girlgaze and the company’s mission, and committed to high-quality content to further that mission.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interact with C-level executives and represent Girlgaze in high-level meetings with brands

Audience Development
Manager

Girlgaze is looking for an experienced, analytical, results-oriented Audience Development Manager to join our team in Los Angeles. This individual will be responsible for creating and executing the company's social media and content strategy to drive audience growth and engagement. This is a great opportunity to work on innovative social campaigns for a highly engaged Gen Z audience. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Express the distinctive, powerful voice of #Girlgaze across all social media platforms
  • Closely monitor and manage all social channels, including evenings and weekends – both in real-time and with scheduled posting. Develop the strategy and cadence for Girlgaze’s social accounts.
  • With the editorial team, create engaging, meaningful, on-brand content for all social media platforms; conceptualize and execute social programs to drive growth and encourage engagement with the various platforms
  • Own and develop a social content calendar to sustain community growth, and high fan engagement
  • Track and monitor the effectiveness of online initiatives; generate analytics reports and tweak social strategy and content based on results. Set and deliver on tangible KPI's from social (ie. audience growth, engagement)
  • Stay on top of key industry trends, competitive insights and emerging social media platforms; make sure Girlgaze is at the forefront of best practices in social, on both existing and new platforms. Assess opportunities with emerging social platforms.
  • Identify, cultivate and manage high-level relationships with syndication partners
  • Develop innovative, social-driven sales campaigns
  • Develop best practices based on results, industry trends, and competitive audits, and socialize these findings with the executive and content teams

REQUIRMENTS:

  • 5-7 years of experience in social media, writing/editing, online publishing, or related field, with demonstrated experience in testing and optimization.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm and immersion in the social space i.e. Website, Instagram, Facebook, Snap, Twitter 
  • Proven track record of executing social media strategies to drive growth
  • Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms

Social Media Director

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience reading analytics and insights with data from Iconosquare, Union Metrics, etc.
